  1. Kia ora Rory,

What a groovy name! I hope you’re having a good day!
My name is Olive and I’m a new blog commentator on The Summer Learning Journey. I’ll be working with you this Teaser week! I’m so excited to see what you and your classmates will come up with.

First of all, congratulations on starting your activity! I love how you decided to write about your Dad. It’s obvious he means a lot to you. You’ve done a great job using bears, gorillas and monkeys to describe some important things about him! Very creative and descriptive. Ka pai! You’ve also done an excellent job with image attribution. Keep up the great work!

Keep participating in the activities, you’re doing a great job so far! What one has been your favourite? Remember the official start of The Summer Learning Journey is 16th December (Next week) so be sure to get online and check all the activities out! There’s lots of points at stake and some great prizes to win!

Thank you again for your great blog post, I’m looking forward to see what else you come up with this week!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive

  2. Hi Rory,
it's me Ronan. Your similes were very funny. I liked the one where you described your dad about being harier than a bear. I think you were supposed to do 4 similes. But anyway, your similes were fantastic.
I hope to see some more of your posts.
    From Ronan

  3. Kia ora Rory,

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a great holiday so far :)

My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Kaikohekohe. I just wanted to pop in and say that it’s not too late to start the programme! You can find the activities here: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities

You can do any of the activities, so take a look at some of the options. I’m sure there will be something that you’ll find interesting to learn about.

I hope I get to read some of your work!

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla
